Jessica Simpson in Baywatch Movie

Jessica Simpson is going to reprise the Pamela Anderson part of C.J. Parker in the new “Baywatch” movie. TMZ is one of many parroting a report in the Sun that is strangely unavailable online:

Jessica Simpson is slipping into Pamela Anderson’s red swimsuit as ‘Baywatch’ makes it to the big screen, according to published reports. The busty blonde starlet was so impressive in her role as Daisy in ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ she caught the eye of the producers of the ‘Baywatch’ film, the Sun reports.

Producers hope Jessica’s casting might entice the newly separated David Hasselhoff to renew his role as Lt. Mitch Buchannon, the paper notes.

The punsters are having a field day with such headlines as “Jessica Simpson to Expose Her Talent in Baywatch Movie,” “Jessica Breasts Pam,” and “Daisy Duke a Baywatch babe?

In all seriousness, though, Simpson was a better Daisy Duke than Catherine Bach, making an otherwise dreadful movie watchable.

It’s unlikely she can outdo Anderson in her prime but she certainly looks good in a swimsuit.

Yep, she definitely has all the tools. Or was that a different show?
