Madonna, apparently not quite yet out of ways to garner attention by shocking people’s sensibilities, is apparently going to stage mock crucifictions to open her shows in her upcoming tour.
Madonna will start shows on her new tour by descending from the ceiling on a giant cross. The crucifix will be made of diamonds and Swarovski crystals and has reportedly cost £5.7million, reports The Sun.
Despite having become a devotee of the Jewish-based Kabbalah sect, Madonna is still happy to use Catholic imagery to shock. She previously offended religious groups in 1989 with the video for her Like A Prayer single which featured her making love to a saint in a church.
Come to think of it, this is the first time I’ve mentioned Madonna in this site’s brief history. And, while she’s still in great shape, she’s a little long in the tooth to get naked these days.

I think it is outragious that Madonna can get away with mocking Christ for the sake of her much needed attention. Many of us are going to boycott the show NBC is planning on airing November and alot more folks then anyone can imagine at the network, are spreading the same message. It is amazing that NBC pulled the comic where Danes were showing making fun of Muslims, but it seems its ok with NBC to slam Christians!
I think that Madonna is beautiful, talented and VERY smart… And she has made millions of dollars and fans by doing what she does. If you dont like it, then dont go to the concert! But just becasue she will be on a cross doesnt mean that she will be “mocking” anything.. get the facts people! She might be making a point, not making fun.

I am tired of rock stars and Movie stars making fun of something they know little about. Sure they were raised in some kind of religion but never really learned the word or the truth.
They try to get a reaction to get the publicity. This has been done since the late 50’s. Been their-done that, get something new like making fun of Madonna.
