Christina Aguilera – Mariah Carey Feud

Christina Aguilera said some nice things about Kelly Clarkson and had Etta James say some nice things about her in conjunction with a nude GQ photo shoot and a new jazz album, respectively. Aguilera did not have anything nice to say about Mariah Carey, however.

â€œShe was never cool to meâ€¦ to the point that one time we were at a party and I think she got really drunk, and she had just really derogatory things to say to meâ€¦But it was at that time that she had that breakdown, so she might have been very medicated,â€ Christina told GQ.

But Mariah did not take the remarks sitting down. â€œI had hoped that Christina was in a better place now than the last time I saw her when she showed up uninvited at one of my parties and displayed questionable behavior,â€ Mariah said in a statement to Access Hollywood. â€œIt is sad yet predictable that she would use my name at this time to reinvent past incidents for her promotional gain. It is in my heart to forgive and I will keep her in my prayers.”

Nothing like a good celebrity feud. But we give the final word to Christina who responded, telling Access â€œAt this point in my life, I do not want any bad energy with anyone. My intentions where not to upset Mariah with any statements that were published or taken out of context. I have all the respect in the world for her.â€

Now, what kind of feud is this? Not a very good one, that’s for sure. The Paris Hilton-Lindsay Lohan spat is more interesting.
