<a href="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i193/sherwinner/PARTY.jpg" rel="nofollow">Hi
This picture was taken yesterday. At a private function they were celebrating relicemporium.com putting the original X-2 Skycycle for sale on eBay in January 2007 as a prelude to what is believed to be the largest Evel Knievel/That's Incredible Collection in the World.
Happy Holidays</a>

Growing up Evel Knievel was my idol. It's sad to see him in such bad health now. He's had a life that many would envy (with the exception of all the injuries). This man managed to capture the worlds attention especially in 1974. He is truely aa American hero.

I'm 45 and only meeting Evel twice when I was a kid, he'd be surprised to learn that he actually raised me! More than the great hero we all embraced, he taught me common sense, confidence and I even rode in my new found father's shoes for 20 years as on of the many "Knievel Clones", performing his gig all over the world.
Being a terribly shy kid when I was young, it wasn't the "JUMP" that gave life to hero worship in my case, it was his tone, his truth, his obliviousness to the fact that people worshipped him because he was too busy BEING the genuine article to really care!
My real father long since has died. Evel is still alive and we all wonder outloud how he's managed that even! The Legond, OLD, YOUNG, whatever!!! The fact is, he's the real thing! Thanks Father, Knievel, I never regretted choosing you and being a son you never really knew!
