Marc Cherry, the creator of Desperate Housewives, has come out of the closet.

No, not as a gay man. He is openly gay but that’s not exactly a big story in Hollywood. He’s a Republican.

Michael Demmons has photos and video from the first day of the Log Cabin Republican convention, including pictures of himself with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and First Lady Maria Shriver. But the big news is that Marc Cherry was there as the keynote speaker. Here he is with Michael:
