Ex-Teacher Pam Rogers Nude Photos
Former techer Pamela Rogers sent nude photos to her 13-year-old boyfriend in violation of her parole.
A former teacher who has already served jail time for having sex with a 13-year-old student was sent to prison for more than six years Friday for violating her probation by sending the boy nude photos of herself.
When Pamela Rogers, 29, was released after serving 198 days in jail, she was under orders not to contact the student or his family or use the Internet. But authorities say that even after appearing in court on a charge of violating her probation in April, she continued talking with the boy and sending him text messages and sexually explicit photos and video of herself. “You have done everything except show this court that you wanted to rehabilitate yourself,” Warren County Circuit Judge Bart Stanley said. He revoked Rogers’ probation and ordered her to serve the rest of a seven-year prison sentence that had been largely suspended.
Rogers, who has been in jail since April, presented evidence in a hearing Friday, including a clinical psychologist who said she was a sex addict. She apologized tearfully and was led away in handcuffs to a women’s prison in Nashville.
Rogers worked as a physical education teacher at Centertown Elementary School, which the boy, now 14, attended. She was first arrested in February 2005 and pleaded no contest to charges of statutory rape and sexual battery by an authority figure. Records in the case said she had intercourse and oral sex with the student.
Well, if she’s a “sex addict,” you’d think she’d be covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act and this prosecution would constitute harrassment. It seems a shame to punish her for a medical condition like that.
The AP provides a photo slideshow but it’s just more of Rogers crying, not any of the nude photos. She appears to be a reasonably attractive woman. I suspect her young victim was perfectly happy to receive nude photos of her over the Internet. But tempting an adolescent with sexually explicit images is just wrong, wrong, wrong.
Certainly, it would be if the genders were reversed. It’s hard to get too worked up about it in this direction, though. A double standard, to be sure.

The Americans with Disabilities Act does not cover sex addictions. To be covered, a person must meet this definition: “Disability means, with respect to an individual, a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual; a record of such an impairment; or being regarded as having such an impairment.”
If she couldn’t have sex, she might be covered. Having to screw 13 year olds doesn’t count.
That’s not to say that I would have passed up the chance to tap that when I was 13. I would have tried to screw myself stupid.
