Josh Schwartz the creator said okay thats fine but he knew he could turn the shows ratings around and when he does he doesn't want her crawling back. So instead of sending her of to Jimmy Cooperville he killed her off to teach her not to screw with him or the show. Her character was going nowhere fast with Volcheck.
