I really believe that her intention is to help make this world a better place, and if she's out there helping children around the world and bringing media attention (and money) to suffering nations - good for her! I was surprised at the anger around her portraying Mariane Pearl, apparently many black activist groups are upset that she's playing a bi-racial woman. The message of the movie and the sacrifice of the Pearl family falls to the wayside when people make it about something completely unrelated - like race.
