Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes to Wed in Italy

Hollywood’s most high-profile engaged couple, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, have finally set a wedding date. They sure know how to milk the media. I’m not a fan of Tom Cruise; have only liked a couple of his movies. I think Katie is “living” her school girl crush. I keep waiting for her to wake up.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will marry in Italy on Nov. 18, Cruise’s representative, Arnold Robinson, confirmed to The Associated Press on Tuesday. Holmes will wear a dress designed by Giorgio Armani, Robinson also confirmed.

Holmes, 27, and Cruise, 44, became engaged in June 2005. Their daughter, Suri, was born April 18. She made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine last month. The photo showed Suri peeking out of a jacket worn by Cruise with Holmes looking on.

Good Housekeeping magazine quoted Cruise, 44, the star of the “Mission Impossible” series, as saying in June that he and Holmes would delay getting married until Suri could attend the wedding.

“In many ways,” he added, “we feel like we already are married. I know I’m with the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. So the wedding, that’s just the party,” he told the magazine.

People magazine said that Holmes recently flew to Italy, “perhaps to scope out wedding destinations” after a shopping trip to Paris.” She told People she’d already crossed one thing off her list — her wedding gown — saying: “I already have my dress.” source

Think of the physics of that shot. How far down must Kate stoop or how high a box must Tom stand on to make that shot work? I make it about one foot even.
