Tyra Banks… Homeless?

Retired supermodel and talk show host, Tyra Banks, looks as if she’s fallen on hard times since quitting the catwalk, but she’s actually just filming a segment on the homeless for her TV talk show. This episode will air this Thursday, November 9th. I think I’ll be busy picking up dog poo in the back yard that day. Bummer.

Tyra Banks-Homeless PIC

After her friend, Will Smith, invited Banks to a screening of his upcoming movie, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS – about a homeless father struggling to survive – the former model felt compellled to investigate America’s dirty little secret – and she was staggered by her own experience. She spent a day on the streets with homeless people and generously rewarded a handful of struggling families she came across by giving them all a lifeline to a happier life. Following the experience, which was captured for the TYRA Show, Banks made a personal donation to the Los Angeles Mission, an organization that provides hope and opportunity to homeless men, women and children in Los Angeles.

Personally, I think Tyra’s “undercover” segments are stupid. Then again, I don’t like the show at all.

I saw a little of the show and I wanted to know if Tyra took time to spend one night in any of the shelters? So Tyra can show and explain why people choose not to sleep in one. First of all, the location can only take so many people. Second, there are very few shelters in any neighborhood. Locations are hard to find and getting there can be a problem with no means of transportation. If you have any belongings with you they are subject to theft. That means where you go, they go. Many of the us (the homeless) are sick. No one cares. People say you can go here for help and there for help, but in reality help is limited to the vast majority of us. As with me I am in need of surgery. I went though severe surgery in August 2005. I have no one to help me. I am 46 years old, I’ve work thoughout the years. I am living in the streets by myself. I have no one. The internal medicine doctor I was going to told me to go to a county hospital because there is nothing she can do for me. Every where I go I get a closed door. I have went to the church, I have emailed and call my neighborhood representatives and I’ve gotten no response from anyone. People who are living good need to appreciate what they have because they could end up like me. Homeless and all alone. And drugs and alcohol abuse did not put me here. I don’t indulge in either. Just tell people to Thank God for what they have and pray they never get to this point. I’m still asking myself why?

I believe that Tyra is a stupid, miss always gonna be made-up retard. She talks about how we should double think about the homeless as said “people probably normally believe homeless people are gonna go spend your money on booze and drugs, but you should look at “the guest” and see that she just wanted food for her and her children”, si si tyra but your full of shit, alright, bet cha any money i don’t see you giving shit up to any homeless person, you’d probably be calling for a security guard or running away from them. bye bye.

i give props to tyra banks for at least living a few minuntes to see how a homeless person fills and lives, she may not give up something for them, but she took an approch that you wouldnt. the homeless who do wast the money they get on drugs and alcohol are making every homeless person look bad. in society everyone looks at the bad! look at the mother and her child sitting there in the cold you think she is wasting her money on drugs and alchol i dont think so! so the people who think All homeless people do that you need to look beond the bad and try to open your eyes to the father or mother or singles that are trying there best to get back on there feet!!
