Paula Abdul is Being Replaced on American Idol!

Simon, Paula, Randy and … Courtney Love!?! Hold on to your remotes, American Idol fans, because rock idol Courtney Love claims that American Idol wants her!
Love reveals that Idol’s executive producer Nigel Lythgoe called her office last week inquiring into whether she would be interested in sitting in as a judge on the hit FOX show.
“He called,” Love states, “He was wondering if I was interested. I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant.”
Is FOX lining up a replacement for slap-happy Paula Abdul, or just looking to spice up the show with the always-entertaining rocker/actress? Love, who is currently in L.A. recording a solo album, declined to reveal any more specific details.
But a source states that Lythgoe was considering having Love “replace Paula.”
American Idol reps could not immediately be reached for comment.
For some reason, the phrase… “leaping from the frying pan and into the fire” comes to mind. [heh]

People you need to stop and think very hard here.
If they go ahead and make this replacement, they will be taking a serious step BACKWARD… if addiction is a concern, why choose Courtney Love?
Paula’s antics on American Idol would pale in comparison.
If you want a worthy judge, why not elect the previous years winner a guest seat on the panel? Or at least invite a singer with a more credible past (just a thought: maybe this is all a publicity scam) perhaps a sheryl crow. Class and talent should be prerequisites.
But, as Canadians, let downs have become the norm and what we have come to expect from American television.
If Paula was replaced so many people would not watch the show !! I no lots of people wont….. and I Deffaantly wouldn’t!
