Today, Vanessa Williams met with Senator Dick Durbin for hours. She is working in behalf of The Specail Olympics. She helped raise lots of money ($100 million) for that cause. All I can say is that I’m pleased after reading that they are NOT going to “kick her off” of American Idol due to the pics. She’s only 20 years old. The photos were obviously taken for a man whom she either loved or THOUGHT she loved and she believed that they would be kept “private”. Boudoir photos are not uncommon, not “slutty”, not trashy, not “whore-ish”. She has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Her so called “friends” should be ashamed of themselves though. What I want to know is why are more American’s not making more noise. This girl climbed all over a WWII Memorial at night (because she knew it was illegal), half dressed to take sexy photos. Who cares where the pictures came from, who cares who leaked them? They are out there now and the Memorial pictures are clearly her. It’s a War Memorial!! Is it ok for our youth to go and do that anywhere they feel like it? It’s ok? And why isn’t the news talking about this. The more graphic ones are not her. Who cares about those, STOP ignoring what she did to federal land in Washington DC. Land that is used as a Memorial to our fallen hero’s. I’m a proud American and the fact this girl was allowed to stay and sing makes me want the name of that show changed. American’s have a say. How dare she stand on the same stage that a member of the Armed Forces is competing on. Phil Stacey is in the military. How does he feel about her being on there after what she did to a WAR MEMORIAL???

As a professional music producer, I know for a FACT that having a great voice is only half (if not a third) of the battle. Can anyone take a guess at how Jennifer Lopez sold as many records as she did…and would you have chose her to be America’s Idol with her singing talents? J-Lo took pictures that exploit her nipples like many of the female recording artists have…this is nothing NEW!!!

Antonella enlisted herself toward a career in music and entertainment…not a church choir! I don’t agree with women exploiting themselves in such a manner anyway: it is like they are “hooked on stupid” and lack the ability to realize that they are nothing more than “The Governing Man’s Joke” in the greater scheme of things; and this is why it is so easy for them to exploit themselves.

The business of music is not for the faint at heart and it is not what many people think it is. It is just as corrupt (if not more) than Corporate America. The theme has been sex, drugs and rock-n-roll for a very long time…there’s nothing new under this sun so please stop acting like Antonella is signing up for something religious. Treat her like a whore and defame her if she is trying to be your President or Government Official…only then should you be so concerned.

Also has anyone noticed the Idol judges have become more personal and are saying and doing inappropriate things as well? It is not as professional as it started…It is not a so-called family show…the music business is not a business for children…and if you really want to pick at things then you are going to have to start with the recording artists that are in the current marketplace and ask them to tone down their “sexiness” so that other young girls that are looking up to them don’t make a mistake and become a “loser who will always be looked at in a certain sexual way by others by default” because of some stupid contest. One “Mariah Carey” should be receiving your calls!

Barba will not win anyway. America would surely mob at such results because there are other extremely talented singers to beat. Nonetheless, even as extremely talented some of the Idol voices are: Janet Jackson still sold more records than they WILL. We are amongst the era of downloading pirated music so her stats will be tough to beat, AND just look at her ‘former-choreographer-wanted-to-be-singer-turned-Idol-judge’ Paula Abdul. Why is she qualified to say “yes or no” to talent?

Meanwhile “EVERY” single Keith Sweat album went multi-platinum(not many great males singers can say that about their great voice-having careers) These two (to name a couple) aren’t really great singers…Oh what the hell, let’s go ahead and add Briteny Spears too!

Why does it work for them and not others? Because they stay in their boxes and do no more than they can while others reach to excel their vocal capabilities. Simple sells every time. How hard is it to sing the birthday song? How much are people judge about sining it? The point exactly: Artist who cannot really sing but sell millions of records stay within the boundaries of sing-a-long themes so that every one can :: guess :: Ah, sing-a-long. Now go back and think, How hard is it too sing a J-Lo, Briteny Spears or a Keith Sweat song? If a better singer sells millions of records than it is a great songwriter, arranger, composer and producer involved because they understand how to keep the singer within the box of “sing-a-long.” Though you cannot sing like Mariah; I bet your favorite Mariah song(s) allows you the freedom to feel like you can sing-a-long, but when she gets vocally complicated you steer away from joining because it becomes obvious that you can do the vocal runs and will probably be asked to shut up or someone will turn the volume up a bit more to drown your nerves of attempt.

So if we take a deeper look at how all this happens we will find the same networks of brain-dead, mislead, unconscious, social idiots (a.k.a. the “mind-controlled citizen”) under the rocks EVERY time.

Antonella may not win Idol, but her voice is good enough to sell records. It is just going to be harder for her now because there will be too many people (professionals alike) trying to bang her instead of really working with her. It is not surprising that America would publicly do such to destroy her when they send their own to die for no reason worth dying. Like I said, “…under the rocks EVERY time.”

Clearly this is an unfortunate incident and we may expect more to come from her past, but the benefit of the doubt should be the rule of the day as to her effort to start a new career for herself and escape the past which we all deserve a chance at as far a getting through rough patchs in our lives, the sad thing is that there has been a diff treatment process by Fox from the previous incident with Frenchie, but come on folks, what do you expect? it is Fox, they could care less about Frenchie or minorities period, they are part of the same media group (Murdocks) that acts as an apologist for the Bush Administration and the far right in the world today. THey are probably loving this publicity and the sad fact is that we are feeding into it.
I do not think antonella is going to win as her talent is clearly not as good as the other folks in the show and ultimately, even thought the public does not always vote the best talent through (Latoya London for example) the top talent usually does make the final five, we will see but I think the publicity alone will carry her through to the final 12. I say good luck to her and hope she does not allow folks to continue to exploit her in any way.

It is not the lack of action, spending, or educatoion level that leads to young people to have pictures such as Antonella’s. Spending more money on teacher’s salaries or new text books will NEVER keep young people from being reckless, rebellious, or even educated. They have to accept some responsibility for each action and desired results, regardless whether they want to be famous or educated. Young people need to accep the fact that they will have to work hard to achieve their goals. Partying without care allows for foolish actions and choices to be revealed.Nothing more, nothing less.

Those of you that attempted to somehow relate Ms. Barba’s life choices, to wars in which the United States has taken part in will find any excuse to simply voice your opinion in opposing the United States.
