Amazing Pictures of Angelina Jolie: Attention on War

UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie, recently wrapped up a two-day trip to a refugee camp in Eastern Chad, praising humanitarian workers for their tireless efforts in providing assistance while calling for more aid to those in need.

Angelina hopes her visit will help focus the world’s attention on the war in Darfur and the plight of the refugees.

She told Newsweek:

“If I can draw you in a little because I’m familiar, then that’s great, Because I know that at the end you’re not looking at me, you’re looking at them. Well … As long as you end up looking at them, that’s the point.”

She is fantastic. These pictures are very moving. Darfur needs all the attention it can get and it is wonderful to see her bravery and compassion for suffering people in the world. She is using her celebrity in a brlliant way that I hope will prove to be a yardstick for all these other celebrities who typically have such bloated egos that they cannot see past their own nose.

Angelina is my hero. She is trying to use her fame for something meaningful. I wish more celebrities would do the same.
