Did Dolce & Gabbana Cross that Proverbial Line?
Dolce & Gabbana has pulled an ad showing a man pinning a woman down by her wrists after widespread criticism that it condoned violence against women. It does sort of look like the men in the background are standing around, waiting their turn.

Domenico Dolceand Stefano Gabbana stated:
“We have decided to cancel … the advertising image that has caused such repercussions within human interest groups and individuals. We were looking to recreate a game of seduction in the campaign and highlight the beauty of our collections. It was never our intention to … offend anyone or promote violence against women.”

D & C went overboard. Such great designers- you’d think they’d think a little more about their advertising.
