Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums screenwriter/director Wes Anderson teams up with like-minded writers Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman to tell the tale of three brothers (Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, and Adrien Brody) whose travels through India lead to a series of quirky adventures.
The brothers believe their father has been reborn as an albino leopard, and trace their mother to a convent where she teaches poor children. The train they travel by is The Darjeeling Limited, and they are on a search for their father/Leopard.
Here’s what is what appears to be a very first and rough draft of Wes Anderson’s new film The Darjeeling Limited. Missing is the Bill Murray-is-a-tiger part and Natalie Portman’s part, so it feels really, really bare and like something’s missing…but you can get the basis of the story from this script. Deadly snake! Adrien Brody in pink boxers! Mace! Jason Schwartzman having sex in a lavatory! Turbans! Dead boy! Drugs!
