UPDATE (Allie): The New York Post’s Page Six says that Nicole Richie is pregnant.

A good pal of hers says she’s definitely carrying Joel Madden’s spawn. “Nicole is kind of hoping her pregnancy will keep her out of jail,” the friend said.

Using a baby as a tactic to avoid spending time in jail? Gross!
