F what I call “the ostrich in the sand syndrome”.
Parents talk to their teens about everything but sex and birth control. It is not comfortable to talk to your teens about sex but it is necessary. Yes, they should not be having it. But, when they do, and most of them will, they need to protect themselves.
I worked for a nurse who was an AIDS Specialist. I had no contact with patients. Imagine having sores to the bone, chronic diarrhea and vomiting. Imagine Wentworth Miller [Mariah Carey Video/Prison Break on FOX] weighing 100 pounds! This is just a few of afflictions of AIDS. And, staying in that state for months–praying for death.
