Husbandâ€™s Parents Urge Fans To Boycott Amy Winehouse - PIC

The parents of Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy Winehouse’s husband, are pleading with fans to help their son and Amy stop taking drugs.

Georgette Fielder-Civil told the BBC:

“I think they both need to get medical help before one of them, if not both of them, eventually will die.”

And Giles Fielder-Civil said the couple is “very close. … If one dies through substance abuse, the other may commit suicide.” He told the BBC:

“Georgette and I both believe that they are drug addicts, and they don’t believe they are. I think they believe they are recreational users of drugs, and they are in control, but it seems to Georgette and I that this isn’t the case.”

The parents ended by asking fans to refuse to buy Amy’s records, to send a message about her drug abuse.

But Amy’s dad, Mitch Winehouse believes such a boycott “won’t send any message to Amy at all, unfortunately.” Instead, he said, “The only way out of this is not sectioning them, not locking them up. At some point they are going to reach rock bottom.”

One way or another, these two need help. But I think I’m with Mitch – a boycott’s not going to do s–t.

Meanwhile, Celebrity Smack quotes Amy as saying,

â€œLook at me – Iâ€™m a mess. Iâ€™m nothing special. In fact Iâ€™m nothing at all. I donâ€™t feel good. I donâ€™t have talent. Iâ€™m nothing without my husband. I love him so much, sometimes it hurts. Without him I would be nothing which is why it is so important we are together right now. I canâ€™t beat drugs without himâ€¦I know I need help but Blakeâ€™s the only one who can help me. Heâ€™s my rock.â€
