Keira Knightley Understands The Art Of Airbrushing

Keira Knightley knows she’s beautiful, but she also knows she gets some help from the magazines that publish her photos.

“Somebody goes, ‘Gosh, you’re pretty,’ ” Knightley, 22, tells the U.K.’s Radio Times. “Thanks. I’ve got good genes!

“OK, I’m on the cover of a magazine but somebody else does the hair, and the makeup, and airbrushes the f— out of me â€“ it’s not me, it’s something other people have created.”

Keira also can’t stand the obsession with fame.

“It frightens me when kids go, ‘I want to be famous,’ ” she says. “Why? Because you can get into a restaurant? You know what? If you book [a table], you can get into a restaurant! ‘I want to be rich and famous.’ Go and work on the stock market.”

I love Keira Knightley, mostly because she’s a no BS kind of girl, and even though she’s thin, she still looks like she could kick some ass. But telling kids to work on the stock market? Kids like fame because it looks glamorous, and the stock market is not glamorous.
