Lane Garrison To Take Psych Tests Before Sentencing

Lane Garrison To Take Psych Tests Before Sentencing - PIC

Lane Garrison was in court today in connection with his vehicular manslauther and drunken driving charges, to which he pled guilty. Instead of getting a sentence, though, he got psychological testing instead.

The judge ordered Lane to undergo a 90-day prison diagnostic to help the court determine his sentence. During the diagnostic, psychologists and parole officers will evaluate Lane before he returns to court on October 31. The Los Angeles DA has asked that he be sentenced to four years and eight months.

Garrison, 27, crashed his Land Rover into a tree in December 2006, killing 17-year-old passenger Vahagn Setian, and injuring two 15-year-old girls also in the car. He met the minors at a party where he had been seen drinking large amounts of vodka. At the time of the crash, Garrison’s blood alcohol level was .20 percent, and he had cocaine in his system.

TMZ reports that at the hearing Setian’s father said of Garrison,

In his plea, Garrison told the court, “I relive that night every day and I think about the bad decisions I made.”
