Oprah Winfrey Tries To Take Hotel From Wedding Party

Oprah Winfrey Tries To Take Hotel From Wedding Party - PIC

Oprah Winfrey is hosting a fundraiser for Barack Obama on September 8th at her house in California, and no wedding is going to stand in her way. Oprah wants her out-of-town guests, including George Clooney, Halle Berry, Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, and David Geffen, to stay at the San Ysidro Ranch, but the place is completely booked for a wedding.

Page Six says that Oprah’s staff contacted the bride to try to get her to move her guests, but the bride, who is an attorney, was refusing to budge even though Oprah kept calling.

Maybe Oprah’s persistence paid off in the end. The hotel said,

quote-pic“The wedding party did cancel a few rooms

- but we didn’t charge them a cancellation fee because there was such a demand for the rooms that weekend.”

For their part, Oprah’s camp is denying the story. Probably because her $64 million mansion is big enough to house as many guests as she wants. That would break the “strict rules” of the engagement though, which inlude “no guests will be able to enter Oprah’s house” at the outdoor event. Picky, picky. Guests cannot bring cameras, and they have to park 8 miles away and shuttle bus it to the estate. That might be a first for a lot of these A-listers.
