Fall TV Preview: ‘Beauty And The Geek’

With Fall TV heating up, it’s time to take a look at what’s on. Tonight’s premiere is “Beauty and the Geek” – and there’s finally a new cast! (It was like the last cast lasted three years; that skinny guy Richard Rubin was always on TV! Even though this is apparently Season 4.)

Producers Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg have dubbed the show “The Ultimate Social Experiment” with a $250,000 grand prize. The premise of the show remains the same – what happens when you pair up geeky dudes with beautiful girls? But this time there’s a “twist” – one couple will be “a hot guy and a geeky girl”. And this year the contestants have to rap. You can check out the cast here.

Personally, I think the show is kind of played out, but there’s always an entertaining scene or two per episode. Particularly where the girls who appear to be dumb as rocks are asked questions like “spell tattoo”. And two of the contestants usually fall in love, so that always spices things up.
