Luciano Pavarotti Dies at the Age of 71
Italian opera star Luciano Pavarotti, 71, has died at his home in Modena, Italy. The singer had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2006.

At his side were his wife, Nicoletta; his daughters, Lorenza, Cristina, Giuliana and Alice; his sister, Gabriela; his nephews and close relatives and friends, according to a statement issued by his manager, Terri Robson.
Reflecting on his life, Pavarotti had said,
“It’s not to make myself popular, It’s to make the world of opera popular. I think it’s the certain way to give back what God gave to me — the only way — please as many people as possible.”
Rest in peace.
