More News From VMAs: 50 Cent’s Pool Party Almost Goes Under

The night before the VMAs, 50 Cent was performing poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino when he started off with his most popular song of the moment, “I Get Money”. The stage was built over one of the pools, and some fans actually watched from the water.
The problem arose during “Window Shopper”. Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather made a surprise appearance and started throwing money into the crowd. Ones, fives, twenties, and hundos were floating in the air as Mayweather let it rain. When some of the cash landed in the water, fans jumped in after it, encouraged by Yayo and 50.
Eventually the stage started sinking into the pool. The rappers urged fans to get out of the pool to avoid electrocution, or the show would end. The fans refused to oblige, so 50 and Yayo walked off.
Dumbasses - if someone tells you that you might get electrocuted, take your ass out of the pool. Too bad Rihanna wasn’t on hand - her “Monster Single Of The Year” “Umbrella” might have stopped the rain of cash that encouraged fans to jump in the water. Ok, ok, that was brutal, I know. But it was single of the year.
