Shaquille O’Neal And Wife Split

Shaquille O’Neal has filed for divorce from his wife Shaunie. Shaq and Shaunie have been together for almost five years and have four kids together.

The petition for dissolution was filed Tuesday in Miami by Shaq’s attorney. It states that a prenuptial agreement is in place. Shaq requests that Shaunie be named the “primary residential custodian”, and that he be granted “liberal rights of visitation.”

From People magazine,

â€œOâ€™Neal also says in the petition that Shaunie has been ‘secretive about her assets â€¦ particularly with respect to certain properties owned or titled in either [her] name alone or in other entitiesâ€ and requests that the court require Shaunie to give a â€œcorrect accounting of all money, funds, stocks, bonds, and other securities (including bearer securities)’ acquired during the marriage.â€

Heat coach Pat Riley commented on the breakup in a radio interview,
â€œIâ€™m really saddened by the news. But he will work it out â€“ they will work it out, as most people do.â€

The couple’s Miami home is currently on the market for $32 million.

This might be the one break-up I never saw coming.
