Britney Spears Offends Catholics, Not With Parenting But With Photo

Britney Spears Offends Catholics, Not With Parenting But With Photo - PICAfter all the antics Britney Spears has pulled in the last couple of years, it’s the photo in her latest CD cover that has got the Catholics speaking out. The Catholics are offended that Britney Spears is sitting on a priest’s lap while he looks on wanting a piece of that (personally, that’s what most surprised me).

The photo is being called “the bottom of the barrel” by Bill Donohue, President of the New York-based Catholic League, according to the New York Daily News.

quote-pic“She’s not even allowed to bring up her own kids because she’s not responsible enough. Now we see she can’t even entertain.”

Britney’s album, “Blackout”, drops today. Good luck with all those lines when you try to get your copy.

What others are saying:

  • Mollygood says, “Doesn’t he know that Catholic guilt is useless against the hubris of a Southern Baptist?”
  • dlisted says, “Oh please! The Catholic church doesn’t care. They dealt with Madonna years ago for this same thing and she did it better. They are probably afraid crazy Brit is going to beat them down with an umbrella.”
  • A Socialite’s Life says, “The Catholic Church hasn’t looked this bad since it was revealed that most of their employees were Chestering the children. Never let a yokel art direct her own photoshoot.”
  • Best Week Ever says, “The Catholic Church is up in arms about an upcoming Britney photoshoot that will feature shots of her provocatively posing in a confessional booth and sitting on a priest’s lap. The publication, Desperate Plea for Relevance Monthly, claims it meant no disrespect”
