Barry Manilow Offends The Smithsonian
Who knew the Smithsonian Institute was fanilow? Not anymore, after Barry Manilow called the Smithsonian an “institution”.
At the request of the museum, Barry donated the sexy jacket he always wore for his Copacabana routine. But when asked about it, Barry responded,
“I always knew the jacket would wind up in an institution.”
After hearing the snide comment, the Smithsonian returned the jacket, saying, “You can’t make fun of the Smithsonian.” Take that, Barry.
Now the jacket hangs at the Copacabana Bar at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. Personally, that seems like a much more appropriate location to me.
