Britney Spears Album Successful, She’s Still Out Of It

Britney Spears Album Successful, She’s Still Out Of It - PIC

So much Britney Spears news today. Well, I don’t know if it’s so much news as humorous anecdotes, but here we go anyway.

Up first is Britney’s Halloween costume – apparently she’s supposed to be a member of Josie and the Pussycats or something. Maybe she mistook the idea for a Vegas showgirl or perhaps found herself in the wardrobe department on the set of pornographic video and stole some clothes. Either way, it looks like Britney was having a happy Halloween.

Next in Britney news is her interview on KIIS-FM with Ryan Seacrest. You can listen here. Oh, the girl was completely out of it. This appears to be the only promotion she’s doing for her new album, “Blackout”, and she was barely there for it. Ryan woke her up when he called, so it took her a minute to it together.

And I guess she didn’t trust herself to do the interview alone, so cousin/assistant Alli Sims and friend/producer Sam Lutfi were also on board. My favorite part was when they supposedly lost reception – do you think she was trying to cover for that time there was confusion scheduling a visit with a parenting coach because of her poor cell phone reception? Hmmm…

When Ryan tried to ask about the ongoing custody battle and the media attention, Britney said, “People say what they want and do what they do. It’s sad how cruel our world can be,” and then they asked to change he subject. Good move, Brit. Then she left mid-interview to take a shower. Despite the lack of promotion, Brit has already sold 124,000 copies and is headed for #1.

And finally, In Touch is reporting that Britney’s clean drug tests should be a little suspicious. They say two witnesses saw Britney “out of control drinking and snorting cocaine during a wild party.” Musician Scott Kohler says, “I watched Britney let a guy do a line of coke off her chest.” Despite all the fun, Britney passed a court-ordered drug test just hours later. Things that make you go hmmmm, indeed.

Stay tuned for more, because I’m sure there will be by the end of the day.

I once went to a concert [seated in the fifth row] where the artist on stage unbuckled his belt and let it dangle. The people much farther behind me were whooping it up “he’s pulled his p _ _ _ s out of his pants!” Not true.
