Sarah Michelle Gellar Now Sarah Michelle Prinze

Sarah Michelle Gellar has changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze, taking her husband’s name five years after they married.
Hollywood actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has taken the last name of her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. as a fifth wedding anniversary present.
“She officially changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze,” a source close to the actress told Us Weekly. “On their anniversary, she showed (Freddie) her new driver’s license. It was so sweet.”
Gellar is best-known for playing the title character in the cult TV series, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
She and Prinze starred together in two “Scooby-Doo” movies and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” The couple married on Sept. 1, 2002.
I guess she wanted to be sure the marriage would last first.
