Steve Carell Not Working During Strike, Calls In ‘Sick’

For all of you wondering what the big deal is with the writers’ strike, this video does an excellent job of explaining what the writers want. And it makes sense – they just want a cut of the profits from online views. Sounds fair to me.

And it sounds fair to Steve Carell, too. He is showing his solidarity with the writers by not crossing the picket line. “The Office” set was shut down for good Tuesday afternoon, and the actors who’ve not reported to work have helped that happen. Steve Carell called in sick, telling NBC that he was unable to report to work because he is suffering from “enlarged balls”. Awesome.
