Eva Mendes is in Rehab for Substance Abuse!

Eva Mendes is currently in Utah, at the same Cirque Lodge that Lindsay Lohan was seeking help, battling a substance abuse problem.
This news actually shocked me. You never see Eva Mendes out and about at the clubs, and she’s even been quoted as saying,
“I don’t have a drug habit, I don’t date actors. I don’t drive if I’m drunk. And I don’t go to clubs. I don’t like clubs.”
You obviously weren’t in denial either.
Reports TMZ,
We’re told the “Ghost Rider” star is at the famous Cirque Lodge, near Sundance. The Lodge, which treated Lindsay Lohan and other stars, is one of the most respected treatment facilities in the country.
Eva has been at Cirque for several weeks.
Her rep tells TMZ “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”

Ahh… not sure where you’re getting that substance abuse is the reason she went in. It’s been reported by several reporters that she is in for depression. Which is why the PR person said,
“Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.”
After reading all the PR releases over the years by various celebs when they go in for alcohol or drugs, this press release isn’t worded in the same way as releases from celebs with drug/alcohol problems. Apparently she’s been suffering from depression, and if she’s getting help for it, then it must be pretty bad.
