Fran Drescher Auditions for Anderson Cooper 360
Michael Douglas is classing up NBC with a celebrity introduction for the newscasts. The idea is apparently paying off and CNN is looking to get a piece of the action. To cash in on the celebrity wagon the team behind Anderson Cooper 360 has been in search of an announcer with clout.
Instead of trying to outdo NBC with someone like Sean Connery they have waltzed in Ozzy Ozbourne and Gene Simmons. After Ozzy bitches to Anderson to hurry it up because he’s not getting in scratch for doing the audition it is beyond awkward. Cooper then asks him to do it again with clarity. That is like asking a one legged man to do a better job in an ass kicking contest. After that didn’t work out, the Anderson Cooper team wised up and brought out the big guns. Fran Drescher lends her shrill voice to the show to which Anderson practically cries with approval stating that “you were my first choice all along to be the announcer.”
She is like a huge gay icon so I am not surprised. It was probably a toss up between her and Cher singing “Do You Believe in Love†while Andy dances around with glow sticks.
