Abercrombie Child Pornography?
Topless and scantily clad teens are synonymous with Abercrombie and Fitch catalogues. Teenaged models wearing nothing but a pair of underwear on a horse makes me feel ill, but the marketing tactic works. Kids eager to get their hands on the catalogue that always has the same worn and torn cargo shorts and flip flops aren’t really after the clothes.
Bruce Weber is the man behind the raunchy ads. In 2003 a catalogue and ads were deemed obscene the ripped from stores. Parents were enraged with the $6 black plastic covered catalogues being sold to teens of all ages. Last month two ads were also taken down from a store front in Virginia Beach. The manager was charged with obscenity.
The latest campaign will be no different. It will only be available in London and cost just under $200.
WTF!? $200? That is like 11 years worth of Playboy subscriptions!
