Man 22 Weeks Pregnant

WTF?!? I am surprised a picture of Arnold is up there. Remember Junior? Great film. Anyway, in “real” news a man is pregnant. Way better than Paris Hilton’s noonie making another debut.

Thomas Beatie was once a woman who decided that deep inside “she” was really a “he.” After starting the process to become a man, he didn’t rule out the desire for children. Despite being legally declared a male, Thomas is 22 weeks along in his first pregnancy. This is the second pregnancy for him. The first resulted in an ectopic pregnancy and the three babies were sadly lost.

The Advocate has a written statement from Beatie on the miracle of carrying his baby girl.

“Ten years ago, when Nancy and I became a couple, the idea of us having a child was more dream than plan. I always wanted to have children. However, due to severe endometriosis 20 years ago, Nancy had to undergo a hysterectomy and is unable to carry a child. But after the success of our custom screen-printing business and a move from Hawaii to the Pacific Northwest two years ago, the timing finally seemed right. I stopped taking my bimonthly testosterone injections. It had been roughly eight years since I had my last menstrual cycle, so this wasn’t a decision that I took lightly. My body regulated itself after about four months, and I didn’t have to take any exogenous estrogen, progesterone, or fertility drugs to aid my pregnancy.”

Thomas and Nancy encountered criticism and discrimination while going through the ordeal. Their lack of support has not stopped them from achieving a happy family.
