Wesley Snipes Sentenced to Jail

Wesley Snipes has been sentenced to three years in jail for tax evasion.
“Nathan J. Hochman, Assistant Attorney General of the Justice Department’s Tax Division, said, “Snipes’ long prison sentence should send a loud and crystal clear message to all tax defiers that if they engage in similar tax defier conduct, they face joining him and his co-defendants … as inmates in prison.”
Snipes hasn’t filled taxes in awhile. He was convicted in February for three misdemeanor charges and owed “the man” nearly $3 million. His defense tactics? He claims he didn’t owe the government shiz because he “doesn’t recognize the IRS as a proper government agency.” As if they aren’t putting him in jail simply for being a dumbass, he adds douchebaggery to the conviction. He enlisted Denzel Washington and Woody Harrleson - to write character witness statements to woo the judge’s mercy.
Denzel wrote:
“Like a tree - a mighty oak. He stands for so many, “like a tree, planted by streams of water with leaves that do not wither.” Many who know him have witnessed the fruits of his labors, have sat in his shade and even been protected by his presence. I am proud of him, proud to call him a fellow thespian and most importantly, proud to call him my friend.”
Wesley…you’re doomed. I hope you still have your Noxema Jackson getup from “To Wong Foo.” I have a feeling your going to be hearing, “Boy you got a purdy mouth.”
