Does anyone consider the possibility that people who don’t have a huge problem with gays, do have a problem with redefining what marriage is?

Aaron, if you don’t “hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal”, perhaps it’s you that should move. There are plenty of countries where you can restrict human rights to heterosexuals only without infringing the principles that the country was founded upon.

I don’t get why people want to ban gay marriage. It makes no logical sense to me. Since when has one marriage effected another couple’s marriage? Why would anyone want to stop anyone else from being happy (or miserable)? And why is it anyone’s business in regards to what goes on behind closed doors?!

Banning gay marriage is by far one of the stupidest concepts ever.

No one should be forced to leave their home because people are dumbfucks. Simple as that.

Not ridiculous to me.
In a country where the religious majority is Christian, it’s pretty obvious.

Politics and personal opinions that overlap with religious ideals/beliefs are two completely different matters–don’t compare them.

Suggestion to Ellen. If you don’t like it, move. The people have spoken, and while a majority apparently want to experience Democrat rule for a while, they clearly do not want gay marriage imposed on the state by the courts.

Deal with it.
