Katy Perry Takes a Vow of Celibacy

Katy Perry won’t be kissing a boy — or girl — anytime soon.

Perry told the new issue of TV Guide,

“I’ve actually taken a vow of celibacy this year. No kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry.”

The singer, 24, and her beau, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy, split shortly before the New Year.

But Perry isn’t too sad: She landed a “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” Grammy nomination for “I Kissed a Girl.”

She told TV Guide that her parents still “can’t believe they created something that is Grammy-nominated.”

Katy Perry also plans to perform on the Feb. 8 awards show.
