Wild, Wacky & True: Busted Braking Bus Driver

In Huntley, Illinois, there’s one less bus driver taking the kids to school. Julieta Clinton was arrested for allegedly intentionally braking to throw unruly children from their seats.

Clinton was found guilty of reckless conduct and child endangerment for intentionally slamming the brakes to throw children from their seats. I didn’t know that a bus driver could get into trouble for that, because ours was nasty like that. She’d slam on the breaks and tell us to settle down or get kicked off the bus.

38-year-old Clinton could face up to a year in prison for what she refers to as an accident. Prosecutoes say that she was driving 54 kids to school when she got frustrated and braked hard twice.

The children range in age from five to ten-years-old. One was treated at a local hospital and paramedics treated 18 others at the scene.

Clinton is set to be sentenced on April 3rd.
