The Weekend Box Office Results 3/15/09
“Race To Witch Mountain” captured the box office this weekend and came out ahead of last week’s top movie, “Watchmen“.
The movie raked in a total of $25,000,000 this past weekend, which isn’t the best take for an entire weekend’s worth of box office sales, but it’s good, considering the competition.

“Watchmen” grabbed second place with a total of $18,070,000. Nabbing the third spot on the weekend chart was “The Last House On The Left (2009)” with $14,658,000.

Coming in fourth place was “Taken” with $6,650,000 in its seventh week in theaters. Bringing up fifth place was “Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail“, which I thought would’ve fell of the radar completely by now.
Check out the trailer:
Aww look at Corey Feldman at the premiere, trying to stay relevant.
Via IMDB, here is their short synopsis of the flick:
A UFO expert enlists the help of a cabbie to protect two siblings with paranormal powers from the clutches of an organization that wants to use the kids for their nefarious plans.
