8-Year-Old Girls Marries Into Slavery With 47-Year-Old Man

This story is just awful. A man in Saudi Arabia sold his eight-year-old daughter into marriage with a 47-year-old man to help pay off his debts.

A judge in Saudi Arabia has refused to overturn the ruling, declaring that the marriage between the older man and prepubescent girl legal.

The judge, Sheikh Habib Habib, ruled for a second time on Saturday that the girl’s marriage to her father’s friend was legal and binding. Once she hits puberty, she’ll be allowed to file for divorce.

The mother has appealed the case, but to no avail. The mother’s attorney said that the girl’s father arranged the marriage to the friend to pay off his debt. Mothers in Saudi Arabia have less rights than fathers, something that women’s rights activists are looking to overturn.

What kind of sicko wants to get married to an eight-year-old child? That’s just vomit inducing.

The man was said to have signed a pledge that promises he will not have sex with her until she reaches puberty. So, it’s very possible that he’s going to be 52, having sexual relations with a 13-year-old. Let’s hope the mother’s appeal overturns the ruling prior to that.
