Notre Dame’s QB Jimmy Clausen Punched by Fan
Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was reportedly punched in the face by an irate fan late Saturday night while leaving a restaurant with his parents.
The team captain was at CJ’s Bar in South Bend, IN after Notre Dame’s double overtime loss to Connecticut when the assault occurred. A witness stated that Clausen was “sucker punched”.
A South Bend police spokesman says that no charges have been filed over the incident, and a team spokesman states that Clausen’s black eye from the unruly fan will not keep him out of the Fighting Irish’s upcoming game with Stanford.
