Authorities are worried about Lindsay, that they have considered pulling a Mischa Barton on the actress and locking her up in the nearest loony bin.

TMZ reports:

Cops who see Lindsay at her worst — late nights and early mornings when she needs assistance avoiding the paparazzi — tell TMZ they have been concerned about her “erratic behavior” and “attitude,” which have grown progressively worse over the last few months.

We’re told during one of Lindsay’s crazier nights out recently, cops became so concerned they discussed taking her in for a 5150 evaluation.

Police have decided against putting her under the involuntary hold, stating that she is still able to care for herself. How much longer will that last?

Media types are already gearing up with an obituary for the actress, who many fear is on the brink of tragedy.
