Jennifer Capriati Hospitalized After Drug Overdose

Former teenage tennis star Jennifer Capriati was hospitalized after a possible drug overdose in Florida, according to TMZ.

Capriati, now 34, was rushed to the hospital after an emergency call from a hotel in Riviera Beach, Fla.

Capriati’s father told TMZ that her daughter is “recovering well” but no other details were provided.

Capriati, who burst on to the scene as a teenager, had her career derailed by personal and legal woes before staging a comeback in the late 90s. She won 14 career titles, including three Grand Slams – the French Open in 2001, and the Australian Open in 2001 and 2002.

This isn’t the first time Capriati has been linked to drugs. In 1994, she was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana.
