Amy Winehouse Died from Alcohol Withdrawal

The cause of Amy Winehouse‘s death won’t officially be known for a few weeks until the toxicology report comes in but it’s being put down to her sudden abstinence from alcohol by her family.

Despite reports that Amy went on a drinking binge the morning she died her family claim that she completely gave up the drink and that’s what killed her.

A source close to the family spoke to The Sun and told them that Amy was given strict orders by her doctors to cut down on her heavy drinking gradually but she ignored this and decided to go cold turkey which her body couldn’t cope with.

“Abstinence gave her body such a fright, they thought it was eventually the cause of her death, doctors had told Amy to gradually reduce her intake of alcohol and to avoid binging at all costs. Amy told him she couldn’t do that. It was all or nothing and she gave up completely.” the source says.

Amy’s father, Mitch, also says that reports that she bought drugs the night before she died are untrue and that she hasn’t touched drugs in three years.

Meanwhile Paz de La Huerta has spoken about Amy’s death and she doesn’t believe it was either drink or drugs, she simply thinks that the reason she died is because Amy seen bad photos of herself.

“Look what just happened to Amy Winehouse! Maybe had she not seen so many bad pictures of herself she would have gotten more self esteem. And not been so self-destructive.” says Paz.

What a tool. We really won’t know until the toxicology reports come in so all of these rumors can be put to rest.
