Matt Damon Thinks Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie ‘Are Like Prisoners’

Matt Damon has arguably been one of the most famous actors in the world over the past few years but according to him he has it lucky when it comes to being able to live a normal life. Unlike Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who he says both live their lives like prisoners.

The Oscar-winning actor appeared on Germany’s TELE 5, via People, recently where he decided to go into details about his life and how he can pretty much walk around the streets without having to worry about being bombarded by fans, unlike his friends Brangelina. He says:

“I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance. They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident. I’m really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds. I do the work that I love and need, but don’t need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door.”

Part of the reason he can have a normal life? He puts this down to the fact that fame doesn’t interest him too much and the fact that his wife, Luciana Barroso, isn’t an actress. He went on to say:

“I’m not as crazy as most of the other stars. I don’t really know why, probably because I married a woman who isn’t an actress. And we live in New York, as long as we don’t show up in typical tourist spots, we can walk the streets without being noticed. New Yorkers are very cool, they don’t flip out if they see me.”

Speaking of being a prisoner, if E! Online are to believed then it’s not Angelina who is being held in chains it’s really Brad because she apparently got rid of most of his friends and one source even says “she rules him” because “she’s the one calling the shots.”

Well that’s not too shocking, I think it’s pretty obvious that she is the one who wears the pants in that relationship. What do you think when celebrities complain about not being able to live a normal life? Sometimes I sympathize with them but most of the time I think they knew what they were getting in to so should just deal with it and be happy they are making millions.
