Elisabeth Hasselbeck “Loses Her Mind” (Video)

That’s the title of the number three most popular video on YouTube today which is a clip from yesterday’s The View. The ladies were discussing the morning after pill and Hasselbeck’s two cents just happened to represent the pro-life argument. Here’s the video:

What’s funny is that Hasselbeck doesn’t really “lose her mind” but rather tries to make a pro-life argument only to be silenced and chastised by Barbara Walters like a out-of-line child. And when the show comes back from break, Walters is actually coddling Hasselbeck like a baby. More video:

The only way that Hasselbeck “lost her mind” was in thinking that she was going to be to make her argument sitting with Walters, Joy Behar, and guest host Lisa Loeb and be heard out. The whole episode reminds me of those old SNL skits about The View where Walters would order Hasselbeck’s predecessor Debbie Matenopoulos to get “into her cage.”

Gibsonpalooza (Video)

Considering the events that transpired over the weekend, it was a given that Mel Gibson was going to be savaged by Monday’s late shows. And as you’re about to see, they sure didn’t disappoint. There’s video round-up of the massacre at

No spoilers, but if I had to choose, I think Kimmel took it by a landslide.

The 50 Most Beautiful People on Capitol Hill

The Hill newspaper has put the list together which consists almost exclusively of Capitol Hill staffers you’ve never heard of. It does include, however, a couple of more well-known people such as, er, Majority Leader John Boehner and the more fitting choice of FOX News’ Megyn Kendall.

UPDATE (James Joyner): Not having my years of experience blogging, Greg apparently does not understand the First Rule of Blogging about hotties: Pictures, pictures, pictures. In the interest of brevity, I have skipped over the male honorees.
