Well, Anderson Cooper was ready to pounce and did just that, tearing Heidi Montag to shreds, saying she’s found a “fresh new way to embarrass herself.”

Miss Australia Blows – A Condom! – Video

Miss Australia, Rachael Finch, and a bunch of other Miss Universe contestants took part in the Condom Olympics. The joke event was set up by Population Services International as a means of spreading positive messages about HIV prevention worldwide.

Check out the video below to see all of the blowing goodness:

Guess who wins the competition?!??

Besides blowing up condoms, they also played toss the water-filled condom, and a game of WildFire Infection. If you’re as curious about that as I was, then read on. Apparently it’s a game where they try to get the girls to get the signatures of the other contestants in the games, on their cards. Some girls easily signed while others didn’t want to, at all. At the beginning of the games, a few of the girls were told that they were infected with HIV. It was a lesson in how easily the disease is spread.

Hey, we’re all about education!

Rachel Christie – The First Black Miss England

History was made last night in London.

Great Britain crowned 20-year-old Rachel Christie as Miss England during the country’s annual pageant at London’s Metropole Hilton Hotel.

Competing as Miss London City, Christie edged out her rivals to claim the title and will now compete for the Miss World crown in Johannesburg in December.

Christie specializes in the heptathlon and the 400 meters and is hoping to join the ranks of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Her uncle is British Olympic gold medalist Linford Christie, who stands as the most decorated British athlete. He is also regarded as the second fastest European in history and even has a stadium in West London named in his honor.

“My ambition in life is to compete and win gold in the 2012 Olympics. I would also love to do well in Miss England. I want to be successful in whatever I choose to do in life.”

Katrina Hodge, a 21-year-old soldier decorated for her bravery in Iraq, came in second in the Miss England grand final, which was decided after a public vote.

According to the pageant’s Web site, “the girls are talented, healthy and well-educated and are all vying for the privilege of representing England at the Miss World contest in South Africa later in the year.”

Carrie Prejean Had ‘No Idea’ She Was Fired

There’s never really a good or easy way to be fired, but to find out from ‘Access Hollywood’ host Billy Bush has to sting a little more than usual.

That’s exactly how former Miss California Carrie Prejean found out that she could no longer wear the state tiara. When Bush told her that the news of her firing had been confirmed, Prejean told him “that’s the first that I know about that, Billy.”

She went on to say that she,

“just got a phone call from you [Bush] and I’ve gotten some text messages saying ‘Hey, is this really true?’ and I said, ‘True about what?’ and they said, ‘That you’ve been fired.’ And I started to laugh because everyone’s been cooperating and everyone’s been getting along so well. This is the first that I’ve heard of it. This is funny to me. I have no idea what’s going on.”

Prejean’s reign as Miss California ended abruptly on Wednesday, as the Miss California USA organization cited “breach of contract issues,” for her demise. They elaborated further, saying in a statement that Prejean was booted thanks to,

“contract violations including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization.”

Taking her place as Miss California is the state’s runner-up, Miss Malibu Tami Farrell.

Miss California, Carrie Prejean Loses Her Crown

Less than a month after being told by Donald Trump that she can keep her Miss California crown, Carrie Prejean was fired on Wednesday.

K2 Productions, the independent producers of the Miss California USA pageant, under license from Miss Universe, cited continued breach of contract issues as the reason for Prejean’s firing. [click here to read the press release]

“This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations,” Keith Lewis, executive director of K2 Productions, said in the documents.

“After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.”

Prejean came under fire for her answer to a question about gay marriage two months ago in the Trump-owned Miss USA pageant, in which she was the runner-up. After the pageant, Prejean was continuously attacked as she defended her belief that gays and lesbians should not be given the right to marry in California. She became embroiled in more controversy when racy pictures of her were published that some construed as violations of her Miss California contract.

Trump came to her defense in a May 12 press conference attended by Prejean and Keith Lewis, calling her answer to the question “honest” and saying “we have determined … that the pictures taken are fine.” He allowed her to continue on as Miss California.

But it was Trump who gave the final OK to fire her.

“I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so.” Trump said in the same documents.

“Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen and I offered Keith my full support in making this decision.”

Representatives for K2, Prejean, and Trump were not available for immediate comment. First runner-up Tami Farrell will assume the role and responsibilities of Miss California USA.

Karma certainly is a nasty thing, don’t you think?

Katie Rees Irate Over Carrie Prejean Keeping Her Crown

In the wake of Donald Trump‘s decision to not take away Miss California USA Carrie Prejean‘s title after semi-nude photos of her showed up online, former Miss Nevada USA Katie Rees, who was stripped of her title in 2006 following a similar incident, is… well, let’s just say she isn’t happy.

Keep in mind, this anger is coming from someone with a mugshot.

Katie Reese told Extra,

“An accurate word to describe me is irate. If you’re semi-nude, you’re semi-nude and it says so in the contract. And [Prejean] broke the contact… She should’ve had her crown taken away just like mine… For her crown not to be taken away is absolutely outrageous.”

Katie also sees a very important difference between her situation, where personal photos of her behaving badly were made public, and Carrie’s pics.

“The fact is Carrie purposely posed nude for these pictures. I did not. I was a teenager who accidentally was out having a good time with her girlfriends and was unguarded… I just wonder if Mr. Trump knows what he put me through. What I’ve gone through these past two years. The strong woman that I’ve had to become to fight for myself.“

And rather than just cry over spilled milk, Katie says, “I am speaking with my lawyer right now.”

Carrie Prejean Has More Topless Photos Surface

Carrie Prejean must have a really, really bad memory — because TMZ uncovered a brand new set of topless photos “biblically correct” Miss California took before she applied for the crown.

[Click thumbnails for a larger view]

These pics were taken just last year — meaning Carrie was the ripe ol’ LEGAL age of 20.

This time, Carrie dropped her top for a professional photo shoot … another partially nude gig that she forgot to tell the Miss California officials about.

Donald Trump will decide today whether or not he’ll give Carrie the heave ho.

Super-Thin Miss Universe Contestant Sparks Outrage

Scandal erupted on Thursday at the final for Australia’s Miss Universe. And rightly so, I might add.

Stephanie Naumoska, a 19-year-old model from Sydney, stands nearly 6 feet tall and weighs 108 pounds, giving her a body mass index lower than her age, just 15.1.

That BMI is far below the cutoff of 18.5 that is used as the definition for underweight individuals.

Doctors and dietitians in local papers described the contestant as “skin and bones,” but pageant director Deborah Miller chalked it up to Naumoska’s Macedonian heritage.

There are issues with BMI accuracy, especially for different races. But with a BMI so far below the benchmark for healthy, Miller sounds out of touch.

Not to mention Naumoska looks like she needs a sandwich.

Her lanky, underweight figure did not win her the title — that went to 20-year-old television presenter and model Rachael Finch.

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, Opposes Gay Marriage

Miss California, Carrie Prejean was asked by Perez Hilton at the 2009 Miss USA Pageant, whether or not she believed in gay marriage, her answer was less than thrilling for the judges.

In response to his question, she said, “We live in a land where you can choose same sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

Keith Lewis, the man that runs the Miss California competition, said, “As co-director of the Miss California USA, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss California believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman. I believe all religions should be able to ordain what unions they see fit. I do not believe our government should be able to discriminate against anyone and religious beliefs have no politics in the Miss California family.”

Co-director of the pageant and 1995 Miss USA, Shanna Moakler, said that she fully supported Lewis’ statement.

Prejean won first runner up in the pageant. Do you think she deserved it? Or should she have won the crown?

What do you think of her answer? Controversial, or just honest?

Miss USA Contestants to Wear Jessica Simpson’s Bikinis

Miss USA contestants will be wearing none other Jessica Simpson on Sunday night. The itty-bitty bikinis, that is – not the pop star.

The Jessica Simpson Collection snagged the coveted crown as the annual beauty pageant’s swimwear sponsor this year, usurping Syrup Swimwear which provided teensy suits for the past two years.

Identical $104 white ‘n’ gold string bikinis were especially created for the contest, as well as the $88 bright green string bikinis modeled by the crown-chasers during a pre-pageant photo shoot in Las Vegas.

Simpson’s swimwear collection debuted less than two years ago, so … why did the Miss USA organization opt for these again?

“Why not?” says publicist Lark-Marie Anton. “They’re fabulous swimsuits.”

Wanna get your hands on one – or both? The suits will go up for sale at Jessica Simpson Collection after the show.

Miss Indiana, Katie Stam Crowned Miss America

Katie Stam was crowned Miss America for 2009 on Saturday night. Didn’t know that the Miss America Pageant was still around? Neither did I.

On TLC’s website, Katie lists her passions as promoting community service and involvement and says that her scholastic ambition is to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Her career ambition is to be become a television news reporter and anchor.

Wasn’t that the same ambition as Sarah Palin? Maybe we should be on the look out for Katie Stam, Indiana Governor 2016?

Here’s Katie and the other finalists answering the questions from the random people they brought in to stump the contestants:

Katie says that she’s family-oriented and wishes to travel the world and experience different cultures and learn different languages. She says, “I’m just a small town, country girl, who is passionate, dedicated, and full of life.”

Here’s a montage of Katie answering her question, strutting her stuff in a bikini, and being crowned as this year’s Miss America.

Do you think Katie deserved to win moreso than the other contestants?

Bonus: Here’s Katie singing along with Johnny Rodgers for a song called, “Let’s Make A Date” that he wrote for Liza Minnelli.

The girl can sing and she’s pretty, young, and hot. Guys, is she worthy of the crown? Or did you tune in to the show or this post for the T&A?

Miss Louisiana Lindsey Evans Loses Crown

Lindsey Evans, Miss Louisiana Teen USA, is about a pound lighter, because she just lost her crown.

We just got an advance copy of a statement that will be released from Paula Miles, President of RPM, sponsor of the LA. pageant.

“Lindsey Evans has been part of an organization that believes in opportunities when earned and consequences when warranted.

Due to recent circumstances, Lindsey has been relieved of her duties as Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2008 effective immediately.”

Evans was arrested this weekend after she and a group of friends allegedly tried to dine-and-dash — all over a $46.07 bill. Problem — the pageant queen left her purse at the scene of the crime. She went back to retrieve it, and was busted when cops found pot in the purse.

Here’s the insult to injury. She only had 10 days left on her reign. But pageant officials didn’t have the patience to wait.

Miss Nevada USA, eat your heart out.

Miss Universe Pageant 2008

Dayana Mendoza was crowned Miss Universe, in a pageant dominated by Latin beauties. The 22-year-old girl was one of the favorites early on in the beauty contest, held in Vietnam.

Dayana proved her sense of humor while answering gracefully to her question regarding men having it easier in life. She replied,

“men think that the best way to reach a point is a straight line, but we women take some curves and detours to fix everything right”.

As history repeated itself, Miss USA fell during the night gown competition, just as it happened to last yearÂ’s contestant, Rachel Smith, during the 2007 Miss Universe pageant held in Mexico City.

Crystle Stewart quickly stood up, applauded along with the audience and with a smile, continued to model as it nothing had happened.

The Top 10 Contestants:

* Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza
* Miss USA Cyrstle Steward
* Miss Italy Claudia Ferraris
* Miss Russia Vera Krasova
* Miss Dominican Republic Marianne Cruz
* Miss Kosovo Zana Krasniqi
* Miss Australia Laura Dundovic
* Miss Spain Claudia Moro
* Miss Mexico Elisa Najera
* Miss Columbia Taliana Vargas

How bizarre is it, that for two years in a row our contestant falls down. I bet Donald Trump is involved somehow.

Heather Mills Has Crooked Boobs

Heather Mills walked the red carpet at the 2008 Miss USA Pageant — the crowd booed her. As if that wasn’t embarrassing enough — her boobs were crooked!

Heather Mills Has Crooked Boobs - Photo

quote2.jpgThe former model’s overzealous attempt to lift and separate turned heads for all the wrong reasons over the weekend.

But the night went from bad to worse for the 39-year-old, was later booed and jeered as she was introduced on the judging panel.

Heather has previously claimed that public opinion of her in the US was “99 per cent positive,” and was left visibly upset when part of the audience at the Planet Hollywood hotel began to heckle as she took to the stage with hosts Donny and Marie Osmond.

The bad news for us? It looks like the rumors are true and Heather plans to move to the United States.

quote2.jpg“In England, people don’t like me. But I’m going to move to America, Los Angeles hopefully. I love England but everything that has happened makes me realize I’ll be better off in the States.”

Her appearance at the beauty pageant came just days after she launched an astonishing tirade against Sir Paul McCartney and “his three girlfriends” on GMTV, saying: “I wish all the girls the best of luck. Better them than me.”

I fear for this woman’s life.

Crystle Stewart Miss USA 2008

Crystle Stewart, a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Texas, was named Miss USA on Friday, beating 50 other beauty queens for the coveted crown.

quote2.jpgStewart, of Missouri City, Texas, runs a party-planning and motivational speaking company, as well as modeling professionally. She says she wants to dedicate her life to international philanthropy.

“I want to talk to people about how to set a goal and achieve it,” she told The Associated Press after the show. “Because I just achieved my goal.”

Stewart edged out first runner-up Leah Laviano of Mississippi and Tiffany Andrade of New Jersey.

Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith relinquished the crown — and the posh New York apartment that comes with it — in a show aired live by NBC with hosts Donny and Marie Osmond from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The network co-owns the parent Miss Universe Organization with Donald Trump.

Smith, a former Miss Tennessee USA, said she was headed to Hollywood.

Stewart was headed for the publicity circuit. She said she was eager to travel and spread her message of self-improvement to young women. She noted she was one of only a handful of black woman crowned Miss USA in the pageant’s 57-year history.

“I think the United States is coming together,” she said, citing the historic presidential candidacies of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. She declined to name her preference.

“I don’t know, we’ll see. Fundamentally, I’m a Democrat,” she said.

Contestants from all 50 states and the District of Columbia have been in Las Vegas for nearly three weeks, rehearsing and hyping the 57th annual pageant. After stints in Baltimore and Los Angeles, organizers billed the new venue as a city beloved by the event’s international audience.

The pageant tried to showed off its edge, featuring a grinding live rock performance by the band Finger Eleven, music from Rihanna, and contestants in barely there black bikinis and faux-fur coats.

Donny and Marie kept up a steady stream of sibling banter even while swiftly whittling the field.

Donny Osmond told the losers to “put on a poker face” as he sent them home.

“Or use Botox; then it won’t move,” Marie quipped.

Stewart will compete in the Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam in July. She also becomes a spokeswoman for breast and ovarian cancer awareness and other causes, while traveling to promote the organization.
