The son of actor Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, who was caught driving with illegal drugs and a handgun in Santa Monica earlier this month, pleaded no contest to charges of heroin and marijuana possession, as well as possession of a handgun, on Thursday.
He was subsequently sentenced to a year in a live-in rehabilitation program.
“Redmond is grateful for the opportunity to receive additional intensive treatment,” his lawyer, Richard Pintal, told Radar Online, which first reported the news.
Redmond was arrested on Aug. 2 in Santa Monica.
A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department previously confirmed Redmond was pulled over at 8:45 AM on Aug. 2, for failing to stop at a red left turn arrow at Lincoln and Olympic.
Redmond was pulled over at the 600 block of Olympic Drive, not too far from the police department.
A motor officer determined O’Neal was on probation, and therefore he had consent to search him and the vehicle he was driving.
The officer found a controlled substance believed to be heroin in the car.
O’Neal has a history of drug problems. Previously, he was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine and, in a separate incident, possession of methamphetamine.
Sad, really. I wonder if he will ever get his act together?
O’Neal is featured in the reality show Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals, currently airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Christina Aguilera was spotted at LAX airport yesterday carrying her 3-year-old son Max which is a normal thing but this time Max was sporting a black eye and suddenly several websites started saying it was her fault.
This is all nothing but bullshit according to TMZ who are told by sources close to Aguilera that the bruise is just a typical childhood injury after Max fell.
Apparently the 3-year-old was out with his nanny last week chasing squirrels in a park and then he tripped over a rock and bruised his face, Christina wasn’t even there when it happened. After the accident Max was taken to a doctor and was told everything is fine, he didn’t have a broken nose and didn’t even need stitches it was just “your average boyhood bruise.”
“The reports are actually disgusting. Christina is an amazing mom. Max is a happy playful and active boy who has a loving and safe home,” a source tells Us Weekly.
Christina is apparently furious over claims that the accident was caused by her “erratic behavior and alleged booze-filled outings” that she has called her lawyer, Eric Greenspan, in on it.
TMZ report that Greenspan sent a letter to MediaTakeOut.com after they published the story with the headline “CHILD ABUSE???? CHRISTINA AGUILERA’S SON IS PHOTO’D WITH A BLACK EYE!!!” The letter states:
“Christina is a wonderful mother and was not present in the park when Max fell and hurt himself. To imply that she had something to do with this incident, without any investigation on your part whatsoever, is reckless and unconscionable. HAVE YOU NO SHAME!!!!”
The website has since changed the title to “CHRISTINA AGUILERA’S SON IS PHOTO’D WITH A BLACK EYE!!!” Funny how they changed their tune as soon as they received a legal letter.
I think it’ absolutely disgusting that people would write about her abusing her son, she may have gone through a rough patch but you can always tell she is a good mother and besides what child hasn’t fallen over and bruised themselves?
It’s been too long since we’ve had a celebrity sex tape but we might be getting one soon because there is one out there featuring Rihanna and rapper J-Cole.
That’s if Hustler are to be believed because a rep for the company tells RadarOnline “Hustler are in possession of the Rihanna and J-Cole tap.,”
This of course should come as a surprise to nobody because we have all seen Rihanna in all her glory after her nude photos leaked online back in 2009.
“We have not made any decisions about what we are going to do with it yet.” Hustler said about the tape, but let’s be honest if they do have the tape they are going to release it sooner or later.
J-Cole, who opened for Rihanna on the North American leg of her Loud Tour over the summer, took to his Twitter account and simply wrote “Gossip Gossip, nigga just stop it.”
Rihanna also took to her Twitter account to deny the rumors by saying “We don’t believe U, U need more people…AND ofcourse an actual sextape! #slownewsday.”
So who do you believe, the company who claim to have a tape or the people who both deny there is a tape? I guess we will find out soon.
Actor Michael Showers, perhaps best known for his work as Captain John Guidry on the HBO series “Treme,” was found dead in the Mississippi River early Wednesday morning.
He was 45 years old.
A steamboat captain spotted him at around 11:15 a.m. in waters near New Orleans’ French Quarter and Harbor Police recovered the body about 30 minutes later, authorities told the Times-Picayune.
An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death, but the chief investigator for the Orleans Parish coroner’s office estimated that Showers’ body had been in the water for two days.
The Times-Picayune identified Showers as being from Chalmette, a village in southeast Louisiana situated on the east bank of the Mississippi River.
In addition to Treme, Showers made appearances in Breaking Bad and The Vampire Diaries, and his movie credits include Traffic, I Love You Phillip Morris and The Tree of Life.
Amber Rose found herself in a nude photo scandal back in June when photos leaked off her un compromising positions that were supposedly meant for Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend. Now she has more photos leak online,
MediaTakeOut somehow managed to get their hands on nude photos of Rose once again showing off her goods for the camera, although it’s unknown who these photos were meant for this time.
The last time photos leaked Kanye West‘s ex-girlfriend said that she lost out on jobs and money because of the photos, but she did get herself back in the media so I’m sure it worked out in her favor in the end. I wonder what will happen this time?
So far she hasn’t mentioned anything on her Twitter account.
Aside from being dirty rich it must suck to be Paris Hilton at the moment because her fame has really dwindled over the past couple of years and to prove this her reality show, ‘The World According to Paris., has been cancelled.
The Oxygen network have decided not to renew Hilton’s show for a second season because the ratings were pretty terrible and never got past 400,000 viewers.
When the show premiered in June it reached a mere 400,000 viewers and the only place it went from there was downhill so naturally it should come as no surprise that they cancelled the show.
It’s not all bad news over at Oxygen though because they have decided to renew their breakout hit ‘The Glee Project’ which debuted with good enough numbers but since Sunday’s finale has tripled it’s viewership.
It must be a sad day for Paris Hilton when a few years ago anything she put her name on would sell like hotcakes and people would watch pretty much anything with her in it but now she is getting cancelled and a show based on ‘Glee’ is doing better than her.
It’s time for her to give up but at least she will always have her money.
Amy Winehouse‘s family say that there was no illegal drugs of any sort in her body at the time of her death last month according to the toxicology report.
While there was no illegal drugs in her system there was alcohol but it is undetermined if this played any part in the singer’s death, if you remember it was rumored she died from alcohol withdrawals so I guess this squashes that theory.
TMZ report that Scotland Yard have yet to receive the toxicology results from the coroner but Amy’s family have released a statement through a rep.
The statement starts out saying “toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.”
“The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.” They finished up saying.
Now I don’t want to be cynical or anything but if you notice they only say there was no illegal drugs, it is uknown as of yet if there was any legal drugs such as painkillers in her system.
After years of rumors that they have an open marriage Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have separated after 13-years of marriage together, well that’s if InTouch Weekly‘s insider is to believed.
The couple have two children together, Jaden and Willow, and Jada is the stepmother to Will’s son Trey, who he had from a previous marriage.
Will and Jada met back when she auditioned for a role on ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ and then they got married on December 31st, 1997.
Speaking to Ellen Degeneres back in 2008 Will said “Divorce just can’t be an option, it’s really that simple. And I think that’s the problem with L.A. – there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.”
TMZ are now reporting that they placed a call to Jada’s rep and her response was “What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this … Lord. I’m going back to bed.”
Is it just me or is that one of the best statement’s ever? One of her clients has a huge story spreading over the internet like wildfire and she simply says she is going back to bed.
I don’t know if I believe this story or not, I guess we will know for sure by the end of the day what is going on.
Legendary Motown singer and songwriter Nick Ashford has passed away after battling throat cancer in a New York Hospital, he was just 70-years-old.
Ashford and his wife Valerie Simpson, who together were known as Ashford & Simpson, wrote some of the biggest Motown songs back in the 60′s and 70′s.
The couple, who married back in 1974, were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002 for writing such classic songs as ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,’ I’m Every Woman,’ ‘You’re All I Need to Get By,’ ‘Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand)’ and ‘Let’s Go Get Stoned.’
On top of writing songs for the biggest performers back then also performed their own music and produced sixteen albums together, probably their most successful single ‘Solid’ is below for your enjoyment.
As well as Simpson, Ashford is survived by their two daughters.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are expecting their third child together according to the couples rep who confirm the news to the Associated Press.
The couple who already have two daughters, 5-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Seraphina, are said to be “thrilled” about expecting another child.
“She’s always wanted three kids, this was her plan all along,” a source tells Us Weekly. No other details were released about the pregnancy.
The couple, who are both 39-year-old, got marred back in 2005. She spent the past weekend promoting her new movie, “The Odd Life of Timothy Green.”
Speaking about how she juggles motherhood and her busy career back in April, Garner said “You have to have a great nanny and you have to have a supportive husband, we figure it out day by day. It’s always messy and it’s never as glamorous as people think it is, but we get through, and as long as the kids are happy, it’s all good.”
Kate Winslet is a life saver according to Richard Brnson because she helped carry his 90-year-old mother out of his home as it burned down on his £90million private island, Necker.
Winslet and her children were among 20 guests staying in Branson’s guest home on the island and all of them had to rush out of the house as it began to burn down around them after a lightning storm which was caused by Hurrican Irene.
Richard took to his blog to write about the fire and credited Winslet for helping to carry out his mother, Eve, in her arms while everyone watched the eight-bedroom house burn down before their eyes.
Other guests in the house included Richard’s 29-year-old daughter, Holly, who was due to get married in the house, which has stunning views of the surrounding beaches, on November 20th.
“Many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year mum out of the main house to safety – she was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!” The mogul wrote on his blog along with saying:
“Thank you for all your kind messages after the fire on Necker. We’re thankful that everyone is ok. Around 20 people were in the house and they all managed to get out and they are all fine. We had a tropical storm with winds up to 90mph. A big lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house.
My son Sam and nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out. The main house is destroyed and the fire is not yet completely out. My office was based in the house and I have lost thousands of photographs and my note books which is very sad. But all family and friends are well – which in the end is all that really matters.
It’s very much the Dunkirk spirit here. We will rebuild the house as soon as we can. We have a wonderful staff here and we want them to stay in work. We’ll all stay here. There’s a lot of damage but we’ll create something even more special out of the ruins. Thanks again for all the kind messages you have sent – they mean a lot. Currently just huddled up with family and friends in the continuing tropical storm realising what really matters in life.”
It’s sad that the whole fire happened but luckily nobody was injured in the fire, I’m going to guess Kate Winslet will get free flights on Virgin Atlantic for the rest of her life now considering she saved Branson’s mothers life.
