Last year we had Antonella Barba, this year it’s Kristy Lee Cook.
Meet Kristy Lee Cook, she auditioned in Philadelphia for American Idol 7 singing “Amazing Grace” for the judges. She said that she sold her horse so she could afford to travel to Philly from Oregon.
We also know that Kristy Lee signed with Arista Nashville and Britney Spears’ production company Superstar Spears [now a fan site] in 2001, when she was 17. She released a CD called “Kristy Lee” in 2005. She was managed by the former manager of LeAnn Rimes.
What we didn’t know about Kristy Lee Cook, and something about her that she failed to mention at the audition, was the online sexy topless photos and webcam stripping.

Antonella Barba’s first two performances were horrible. Tonight she struggled through yet another, poorly performed song, striking up some nasty comments from all the judges. “You’ve gone as far as you are going to go in this competition”. If she lasts another week, it will surprise me.

As far as her career goes, I think it’s pretty safe to say… “Girls Gone Wild” is going to be her best option. They want her.
Without beating around the bush, civil rights activist Najee Ali, various celebrities, community leaders and Friends for Frenchie Davis, will confront “American Idol” this Tuesday claiming a double standard exists. So not surprising to me!
 With the recent headlines regarding explicit photos of “Idol”’s season six contestant Antonella Barba being brought to focus via news outlets and on talk programs nationwide, a celebrity rally on Tuesday will examine the issue of a double standard as it relates to the Fox-TV program’s treatment of Frenchie Davis.
Tuesday’s planned rally/press conference is scheduled to be held at 11 am in front of the Kodak Theater in Hollywood where the “American Idol” program is broadcast from.
Four years ago Davis was dismissed from the show for purported racy photos. But those photos, which Davis told EUR in an exclusive interview, were never seen either by the “Idol” powers that be, nor the public. On top of that she maintains her photos were of her modeling lingerie. Barbas’ are of the hardcore porn type and have actually been published and seen by the public.

You’ve heard about those risqué pictures that purport to depict “Idol” semifinalist Antonella Barba in various stages of undress. If not, you probably don’t have access to the Internet — or you’re an “American Idol” judge, host or producer. [heh]
Regardless…it’s her talent at singing that will ultimately send her home.

American Idol executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, has stated that Antonella Barba won’t be disqualified for the pictures of her that hit the internet. He said that the only way she’ll be kicked off is if the viewers decide this. Simon Cowell seconds that by saying, “If the public wants to keep her in, they’ll keep her in. These people haven’t done anything illegal; that’s their private life.”
They did not, however, explain how this is different from Frenchie Davis being kicked off in season 2. Frenchie was kicked off after nude pictures of her surfaced.
