The father of American Idol runner-up David Archuleta was charged for allegedly soliciting a prostitute.
On January 14, Midvale, Utah police raided a Reiki Massage parlor at 7350 South State Street on the basis that the parlor did not have a business license. Once inside, they identified that prostitution was taking place and there was one client receiving the services.
Inside they found a female masseuse and a male client. At that point, Midvale Police say an interview took place and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the female masseuse.
According to court documents, that one client was 47-year-old James Jeffrey Archuleta, the father of American Idol contestant David Archuleta.
He was cited with a Class B misdemeanor, soliciting prostitution and was fined $582. Court documents say Archuleta waived his right to counsel and entered a six month plea in abeyance.
James Archuleta’s attorney Eric Bauer said Archuleta never had sex or sexual contact with his masseuse. He also said it was the first time Archuleta had ever been to the establishment. He was there for a back problem.
He pled no contest to the incident and is trying and put it behind him. Archuleta’a attorney said he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
A back problem? I wonder if he was getting his back treated with David’s money?

Though Howard would later apologize for his remarks, the star’s own rap sheet offers an explanation as to why he would jump to the side of an accused domestic abuser. Police and court records reveal that Howard, 39, was once arrested for a similar crime.
According to a Whitemarsh Police Department report, after Howard and Lori McCommas argued on the phone, the actor warned, “Don’t disrespect me by hanging up on me or I’ll come over and hurt you.” McCommas then “hung up and contacted 911 fearing Howard was serious.”
While McCommas was speaking with a police dispatcher, Howard “showed up at the victim’s residence and began breaking the door down.” McCommas ran to the rear of the house and into the backyard. Howard then “broke the front door down and ran through the screen door in the kitchen. Howard then grabbed the victim’s left arm and punched her twice with a closed fist in the left side of the face.”
The attack was broken up by Howard’s brother, who responded to McCommas’s house after he “saw Howard storm out of their house to go to the victim’s house.” When a Whitemarsh cop responded to the scene, Howard admitted, “I broke the door down and hit my wife.” A second officer noted there was “fresh damage to the front door and marks on the victim’s face and arm from being struck.”

Shauna Sand claims she was choked, punched and thrown across a room in front of her children — and the bastard behind the alleged beatings is her very own husband.
The former Playmate received a temporary restraining order against Romain Chavent yesterday, after she filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court alleging that this weekend, her French hubby “hit me in the breasts, which i just had reconstructive surgery.” It’s the latest in a string of alleged violent abuse.
Among the claims, Shauna says Romain once “threatened to sell nude photos of my children that he took of them when he was babysitting.”
In the documents, Shauna also claims in March 2008, Chavent punched her in the stomach and threw her into a wall. And in 2007, Romain allegedly strangled, punched and threw Sand across the room. Shauna says she was granted a restraining order for the 2007 incident, but had it dismissed “because he promised to change.”
But Romain has made accusations of his own — once filing for a restraining order against Shauna in April because he claimed she threatened to ruin his life. Romain’s claim was later dismissed.
Now, with the most recent accusations of abuse, Shauna Sand has been granted another TRO that will remain in effect until the next hearing on December 22.

The jury for her court case involving driving without a valid California license, were deadlocked after a second day of deliberation.
Hayden Panettiere’s father, Alan, has been temporarily ordered not to “harass, strike or threaten” his wife, Lesley Vogel, a Beverly Hills judge ruled Tuesday.
Judge H. Chester Horn issued the protective order until Panettiere’s new arraignment date of Dec. 11. If convicted, Panettiere faces up to a year in county jail.
You might remember that he was arrested at the family’s West Hollywood home after he struck Vogel, 52, “one or two times on the cheek causing bruising with a closed fist,” a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The couple had argued after returning from a charity event hosted by their daughter. Another sheriff’s official confirmed that alcohol was involved.
Shortly after he was released on bail, Alan Panettiere told Extra the incident was a “misunderstanding” and that “nothing actually happened.”
And daughter Hayden, 19, downplayed the incident, saying, “It was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his 15 minutes of fame.”
Kanye West has just been arrested at LAX for felony vandalism.
A still photographer was trying to take pics of Kanye at the American Airlines terminal. According to our guy on the scene, Kanye allegedly confronted the photog and smashed his camera to the ground.
Our photog then began videotaping the scene when Kanye’s assistant grabbed our camera — a struggle ensued and the assistant threw the video camera to the ground, breaking it.
When Kanye realized our camera guy had videotaped the incident, he rushed our guy and yelled, “Gimme that f**king tape!”
Both Kanye and his assistant have been arrested and will be booked.
Law enforcement sources state that Hayden Panettiere’s father, Alan, has been arrested for allegedly battering his wife — Hayden’s mom.
Sgt. Wolf of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said Alan Panettiere was arrested this morning on a felony count of domestic violence. He was popped after allegedly striking Lesley Panettiere in the face at around 3:00 AM today.
He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
Alan and Lesley Panettiere were at a party earlier in the evening. We’re told Alan was upset because Lesley was “hanging” with someone at the shindig and he felt she was “disrespecting” him.
Sources say, according to Lesley’s statement to Sheriffs, the couple went home, began arguing and he struck her in the cheek. We’re told cops took pictures and there are visible marks.
Paramedics advised her she should go to the hospital but she refused. Alan did not give a statement to the police. It’s unclear if any of their kids were at the house at the time of the incident.
Reportedly there are nude photos of Anne Hathaway among the effects seized by the FBI in their raid of her boyfriend’s hidden storage space.
Hathaway’s boyfriend of four years, Raffaello Follieri, was arrested late last month on federal charges of money laundering and fraud after an elaborate scheme in which he bilked investors out of millions.
Hathaway’s personal belongings, including personal diaries, were among the items confiscated by the FBI in their search for evidence in the case against Follieri. Now it seems that nude photos of the actress taken by her ex were also found. Her brother was seen trying to retrieve items from the storage which the FBI had raided the day before, and it’s possible he was looking specifically for those pictures.
Follieri is now in NY’s Metropolitan Correctional Center and has been unable to raise bail, which has been set at $21 million.
Shia LaBeouf is in trouble again and this time he’s been arrested for suspicion of DUI.
Law enforcement sources tell us LaBeouf was involved in a car accident at about 3:00 AM at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. We’re told Shia made a left turn in front of another car and the two collided, causing Shia’s car to roll.
Paramedics were called to the scene and both parties were taken to a local hospital, but no major injuries were sustained.
LaBeouf was placed under arrest on suspicion of felony DUI after we’re told he exhibited “outward signs” of intoxication at the scene.
UPDATE: We now have more info. A law enforcement states that deputies are at the hospital right now, checking on the injuries of the victim and Shia. If the victim’s injuries are serious, Shia will be booked on suspicion of felony DUI. If the injuries are minor, Shia will be cited and released on misdemeanor DUI.
Two camouflaged photogs, who were discovered on the grounds of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s French chateau on Thursday, were reportedly given a beat down by the couple’s guards.
The local police captain said both sides filed legal complaints accusing the other of battery and causing injury.
The guards received doctors’ notes, allowing them four days off of work; the paparazzi did not. Let me guess, the photogs fought dirty?
The one photographer pictured above is Luc Goursolas, and rumored that the Brad and Angelina consider him a serious threat.

The Sun is reporting that Batman himself, Christian Bale, has been accused of assault - by his own family!
Cops allowed Bale to attend the biggest film premiere of the summer last night — despite him being accused of assault.
Bale, 34, faces questioning over the claim — made by his own mother and sister.
But he was able to attend the first European screening of new Batman blockbuster The Dark Knight in London’s West End.
He is alleged to have lashed out on Sunday night at Park Lane’s Dorchester Hotel — where he has a suite.
Mum Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, who lives in Dorset, went to a police station in Hampshire yesterday to lodge the allegation. The matter was referred to the Met Police.
Detectives, well aware of last night’s glittering bash, took the decision not to approach Bale yesterday. But they are expected to make attempts to quiz the Wales-born actor today.
A source said: “It was a very difficult situation but it would have been wrong to have wrecked the premiere over a complaint which we don’t yet know is founded in truth.
“But Mr Bale will be contacted at the earliest opportunity and be asked to provide an account of anything that happened.”
A Met Police spokesman said: “We can confirm we have received allegation from another force in relation to an alleged incident in central London.”

UPDATE (Allie): Christian Bale has been arrested and is still being grilled on allegations of assaulting his mom and sister Sunday, the night before the London premiere of “The Dark Knight.”
The official word from Scotland Yard is that “a 34-year-old male” was taken into custody “in the late morning today” in a police precinct in Central London. (Bale is 34.) They said that the allegation emanated “another force,” but that the incident in question took place in London.
Mischa Barton was photographed topless and smoking a daisy on the cover of Nylon magazine — dead sexy.
The actress was sentenced to three years probation and to complete a three-month course in alcohol education after pleading no contest to drink driving charges in April.
Recalling the incident in the interview, Mischa admits she was shocked at her arrest, because it grouped her with other young Hollywood stars she would prefer not to be associated with.
Mischa has often attempted to disassociate herself from socialites Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan, who have also been arrested for DUI in recent years.
She said: ‘That was a low point for me. I never, ever would have thought I would be arrested.
‘I was disappointed because it associated me with a group of girls that I would rather not be associated with. That was the biggest bummer for me – I didn’t leave my house. I was too embarrassed.
‘They made such a big deal out of it with these other young actresses, that, for a little bit, I wanted to crawl into a hole and die.’
She added: ‘It was a stupid thing to do. But I’ve done a lot to pay back for what I did.’

Khloe Kardashian turned herself into police this morning to begin serving her 30 day sentence for violating her probation.
Kim Kardashian’s sister was arrested last March for a DUI. She was ordered to complete an alcohol education program and community service. She felt above the law and didn’t do either one.

Girl Scout camp officials were horrified to learn that 5,000 marijuana plants had been found growing on their camp grounds.
Police found the hidden marijuana farm with plants in various stages of cultivation in a wooded swampy area of Kosciusko County, according to documents filed Monday in U.S. District Court in South Bend. Some of the plants were growing on land belonging to a local resident, while the bulk - about 5,000 plants - were growing on camp land. State troopers in an airplane spotted the plots.
Mario Comacho, 44, Mariano Gonzales, 38, and a juvenile were arrested last week after police found the farm. Comacho and Gonzales, both of Goshen, appeared for an initial hearing Monday in federal court on charges of possession of more than 1,000 marijuana plants with the intent to distribute. Neither man had an attorney, according to court documents.
Johnny Coy, who owns part of the land where the pot was found growing, said he wasn’t aware of the operation and rarely visits the swampy area.
Parents of campers were informed of the discovery when they picked up their children.

Dorian Leigh, who combined pristine blue eyes, curling eyelashes, an arresting intelligence and intoxicating sexuality to become one of history’s most photographed models — perhaps the first to truly merit the adjective super — died Monday in Falls Church, Va. She was 91.
The death was announced by her grandson Thibaut Dubois.
Ms. Leigh graced seven Vogue covers in 1946, according to a New Yorker magazine article of the time, and in the next six years appeared on more than 50 more covers of various magazines, Playbill reported.
Her images in Revlon’s “Fire and Ice” nail polish and lipstick campaign in the 1950s — “For you who love to flirt with fire …who dare to skate on thin ice” — were shot by Richard Avedon and became Madison Avenue legend.
“Dorian was truly the best model of our time,” Eileen Ford, the doyenne of the modeling agency industry, said in an interview with The Roanoke Times in 1997. “She instinctively knew what every photographer wanted, and she came alive just at the moment the shutter clicked.”
Cecil Beaton wrote in his book “Photobiography” (1951) that Ms. Leigh was as demanding as the eminent photographers who shot her, including Louise Dahl-Wolfe and Irving Penn.
He said she could convey many moods, including “the sweetness of an 18-century pastel, the allure of a Sargent portrait, of the poignancy of some unfortunate woman who sat for Modigliani.”
Ms. Leigh’s mystique was enhanced by her many romances, which included five marriages — counting the one in Mexico to a Spanish marquis who turned out to be already married. There were also the many real or imagined affairs with famous writers, musicians and photographers, eagerly tabulated by gossip columnists. Ms. Leigh was definitely attractive, standing 5 feet 5 inches, with an hourglass figure and an alluring smile.
